Breaking The Grid
Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I had to utilize a grid to create a cover spread and 4 additional spreads based on an existing magazine article. I opted to choose an article that talked about my favorite rapper: DC The Don. I created a cut-out effect with the images enhanced with tape to make the images more dynamic. To add, I added various kinds of doodles, symbols, and other iconography around the spreads that correlate with DC.
